Do you know why art costs so much? Part of it is the artist getting paid for their time and talent. But a WHOLE LOT of it is packaging materials, handling time, and paying for postage. A lot of time and money is saved if you purchase more than one print, so now some of that savings can be passed on to you! Hazaa!

Measuring 12 x 18 inches, this is a 2-color hand pulled screen print on natural off white 100# cover stock. It features an image of an ICE Agent holding a gun and a cell phone. He is drawn in the the style of the popular "thug" image used in official shooting qualification trials.

This marks a return to screen printing for me after being absent from it for some years. As such, no copy is 100% perfect. You'll find it is chock full of wabi sabi, from overprinted letters, under printed letters, and if you're really lucky, an inky thumbprint right on the bottom of the page. I feel that this rough printing style is evocative of an industrial print that was meant to be used for a disposable product, such as a target.

A disclaimer at the bottom notes that the artist explicitly condemns violence against federal agents. Rather, this piece is meant to express the feeling many of us have these days. We feel powerless, but possess the spirit of resistance. I'm praying that this situation will deescalate and years from now we can look at this piece and remember what we lived through, how we gathered strength and courage, and how we can never be complacent.

These are each signed and numbered in an edition of 250.
